Headliner Feature - RÜFÜS DU SOL
Well folks, Sasquatch is nearly here. In the eyes of some attending out there, the best is certainly saved for last. RÜFÜS DU SOL, the Australia-based trio of Tyrone Lindqvist (guitar), Jon George (keyboardist), and James Hunt (drummer) are slotted for the final big bang that is the 2017 edition of Sasquatch. This group is not new to headlining festivals, having played in this kind of setting for years now, and have no doubt come close to mastering the very challenging task of being the only group manning a stage at a single time.
Their tunes are perfect for such a time slot, featuring dreamy, atmospheric electronic dance vibes. The exhaustion from the previous 72 hours of non-stop music will be put on hold until after this trio's set, which will have each and every fan grooving, dancing, or more - unless you find yourself chilling on the lawn, which is a very valid alternative.
The future is incredibly busy for these guys, as they have 5 more big time festivals booked in the coming summer months, and that's not even including their set at Red Rocks a mere 3 days after this set. You may not come into Sasquatch knowing of RÜFÜS DU SOL, or even being a fan, but I would wager that when you pack up all the protein bars and crushed PBR cans from the past couple days that this performance will be the one lingering in your mind.
For those unfamiliar - check out the below playlist for a little sneak peek into what you're going to be graced with this Sunday evening! Keep an eye out also for an interview with the group - working on that as you read this. Shoutout to Jake Lubell - let's get that set up! Enjoy!
